The Story of how Women of Hope came to be...

Dina heard about her dear friend - originally from a western world - who was living in a third world country and couldn't find monthly feminine needs for herself, it became something Dina could not sit and wonder about any more. Her mind was constantly on this woman who’s running an orphanage with her husband and two young children… how they gave up everything to help others and she doesn't have tampons or pads?

God had been reminding Dina regularly to pray for this family for years, as their living in a place of war. As she sought direction on how to serve; the needs arose. In November 2007, God gave her the idea to serve this kind of woman in a way that many might see as unnecessary. She organized a box full of wants, not needs; wants that were necessary to a western woman and her family but not necessary to her society. In a joint effort she and a friend put together 24 pounds of items and sent them off by USPS. They also organized a package to a friend in the mission’s field who had to regularly cut her hair because she was struggling with a continual lice problem and didn't have the time, money or location to purchase help. Dina put together a basic package of feminine needs for her hair and a basic comfort in her life has now been met.

Living a life of need, a basic comfort like tampons can make ones life 100% better and could inevitably help a woman remain in her mission’s field that much longer. Dina and her family know what it's like to go without, so her heart is to serve those that need; with the comforts that make ones day easier.
